She was predeceased by: her parents, Lila Mae Chapman and Fredrick I. Scott; her brother Jimmy Scott; and her husband Marshall C. Pierce, Jr.. She is survived by: her brother Fred Scott, Jr.; her sons, Marshall C. Pierce III (Shana) and Thomas Pierce (Jonita); her grandchildren, Ryan, Alex (Tessa), Seth (Ashley), Drew (Kristen), Zack (Susanna) and Bridet (Jacob); her stepgrandchildren, Emma Scott (Chris) and Sam; and her great grandchildren, Lydia, Levi, Natalie, Christopher and Jaclyn.
