He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen "Jean" Shelton Effler and Foy Landers; his son Ashley Landers; and his aunt Edith Waldrop. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Darlean Shelton Landers; his children, Connie Metcalf (Herman) of Marshall, Pamla Owenby (Rick) of Leicester and Tunya Huskins (Lee) of Erwin, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Lance Metcalf, Dawson Metcalf, Miles Metcalf, Cameron Clark, Madalin Huskins, MacKenzie Huskins, Keeli Huskins and Britney Ross (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Jameson and Brennon Ross; his stepmother Velva Landers of Erwin, Tennessee; and his aunt Jenalee Hensley (Clellan) of Erwin, Tennessee. He is also survived by several cousins and friends.
