She was predeceased by: her parents, Pender "Ova" Vernon Shook Sr. and Carrie Belle Anders Shook; her husband Jeter Lewis; and her brother Pender Vernon Shook, Jr.. She is survived by: her sisters, Betty Shook (Gerald Bastarache) of Weaverville, NC and Mary Belle Mace (Monroe Mace) of Marshall, NC; her sisters-in-law, Jeanette Shook and Janie Tweed; and her daughter Betty. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
