He was predeceased by: his parents, Griffin Cothren and Ina Cothren; his son Mike; and his granddaughter Amanda Gayle Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Betty Cothren; and his children, Debbie Johnson (Ricky), Pam Smith (Scott), Cindy Johnson (Junior), Lavonne Mann (Avery) and Allen Gilbert (Tamara). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
