He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon Thomas (Dib) and Laura Thomas; his wife Shirley Thomas; and his siblings, Frances Pitts and J. D. Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Hilliard Terry Thomas (Cathy) and Kathy Jean Thomas Gosnell (Tommy); his grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Miller (Dylan) and Thomas "Tommy" Russell Gosnell IV (Bree); his great grandchildren, Phoenixx Pressley, Kaylee Gosnell and Elliott Miller; and his siblings, Iva Mae Cantrell (George) and David Thomas. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
