“We are so saddened to read this obituary of Helen this morning. She and Joe were my mother and father’s nextdoor neighbor there on Bethlehem Church Rd. They were Katherine and Guy Hairfield. And, she was my husband’s teacher in Eden, as well as many of our friends and classmates. Helen was so talented, kind and thoughtful lady. We often visited her in Elderberry when we came up to visit my daughter , who was also her student. Wish they had notified us so we could attend the funeral.”
