He is survived by: his parent Lilly King Shelton; his spouse Elizabeth Hoyle Shelton; his children, Dennis Shelton of Erwin, Marvin Shelton (Wanda) of Erwin, Christine Franklin (Gary) and Kathy Dawkins (Danny); and his sisters, Ameradie Cantrell and Verna Cantrell. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
