It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Gunter (Marshall, North Carolina), who passed away on March 18, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Gunter and Maggie Edmond Gunter; his children, Edwin Dale Gunter and Sheilda Ann Franklin; and his granddaughters, Lana Carlene Price and Cheryl Ann Franklin.
He is survived by: his daughter Glenda Gale Price; his grandchildren, Cameron Gunter, Holly Peek (Scott), Ryan Gunter, Brian Franklin, Tish Trescott (Adam), Racquel Price and Devon Price; his great grandchildren, Carrie Dale Gunter, Paige, Tucker Peek, Carter Conard, Lexie Metcalf (Bryson), Jayden Gunter, Ciara Gunter, Ryli Gunter, Brady Gunter, Andi Marie Franklin, Ansley, Anson Trescott, Zane Ferguson and Kaje Price; his brothers-in-law, Arthur Fowler (Blanche) and Roy Fowler (Imogene); and his close friends, Jeralene, Clarence Gunter, Crystal, Sarah Holder, Charlie Brophy and Zeb. He is also survived by the grandkids in case you have forgotten, Papaw.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Madison Funeral Services (1750 NC-213, Marshall, NC 28753). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
