He was predeceased by: his wife Leona Cutshall Shelton; his parents, James Jacob and Lura J. Norton Shelton; and his siblings, Ben, Jack, John, Lloyd, Dewey, Woolsey, Paul, Esther, Margaret and Ann.
He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Ann Rumson (Paul), Kathy Hensley (Jimmy Dean) and Jane Sams (Johnny); his grandchildren, Paul Michael Rumson (Sheila), Kristen DeNeef (Jason), Amy Knowles (Rick), Julie Ann Siegel (Jon), Tonya Stanford (Brit), Justin Hensley, Josh Hensley (Danielle), Jared David Hensley (Mackenzie) and Jacqueline Malone (Evan); and his sister-in-law Vernice Clem Shelton. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many special nieces, nephews, and friends.
