He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Perry Surrett and Selma Morrow Surrett; his siblings, Shirley, Cleo, Margie, Clarence, Ronnie and Earnest; his father-in-law Sammy Shuler; his nephew Jason; and his close friend Jerry Manning.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Shuler Surrett; his children, Miranda (Jonathan), Brandon (Danielle), Timothy, Trevor, Starla and Colby; his grandchildren, Landon, Tyler, Weston, Summer, Hunner, Trenton, Devin, Gabriel, Nevaeh and Tanner; his siblings, Carolyn and Arnold; and his mother-in-law Wilma Shuler.
