With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Jean Shipley (Marshall, North Carolina), born in Madison, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 15, 2024 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, P. E. Franklin and Dolly Lee Wallin Franklin; her husband Paul Lewis Shipley; her children, Marcia Lee Shipley Henry and Paul Edward Shipley; and her brothers, Frederick and Swayne.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Abigail Henry Singh (Sachin), Hannah Henry, Paul Hill (Tana) and Katy Shipley Herbert (Michael); and her great grandchildren, Henry Pramod, Violet Amelia, Dominick, Joey, Bentley, Brannon, Brandie and Brianna. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
