He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Shelton and Maryetta Rice Shelton; his wife Betty Johnson Shelton; and his siblings, Alma Rice, Buster, Don, Robert and Harold Shelton.
He is survived by: his sister Pat Grooms. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
