We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Alene Ray Jarrett (Marshall, North Carolina), born in Arden, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elihu Jackson Ray and Pearl Miranda Case Ray. She is survived by: her siblings, Elbert, Lloyd, Raymond, Gordon and Azalee; her husband Forrest Jarrett; her sons, Owen and Greg; her parents-in-law, Olin and Evelyn Jarrett; her children, Tim and Esta; her grandchildren, Anna and Michael; her nieces, Carolyn Butler and Nellie Brevard; her close friend Suzie Wheeler; and her daughter Amy. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the music department of Newfound Baptist Church, 2606 New Leicester Highway, Leicester NC 28748; or Berea College, 101 Chestnut Street, Berea, Kentucky 40404.
