He was predeceased by: his parents, Hezekiah Capps and Pearl Wheeler Capps; his wife Villa Hamlin Capps; and his siblings, Idus Fisher, Azalee Coffey, Eula Mae Norton, David, Claude, Bruce and Howard Capps.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Landers (Ken), Peggy Wheeler (Eddie), Wanda Renfro (Kenny) and Rick Capps (Janet); his grandchildren, Charlie Wheeler (Emily), Jonathan Wheeler (Amber), Brent Landers, Kacie Kisielewski (Paul), Clay Capps and Brittany Eller; his great grandchildren, Beckett Landers, Mason Wheeler, Brooke Davis, Colin Wheeler and Hailey Wheeler; and his great great grandchild Dawson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
