He is survived by: his wife Jean Parks Smith; his nephew Mitch Tribble (Patty) of Greenville, GA; his great-nieces, Kristi, Heather and Ryan Tribble; his brother-in-law Frank L. Parks (Ann) of Mars Hill, NC; and his nieces and nephews, Chris Parks (Marie) of Mars Hill, NC, Jason Parks (Sheila) of Mars Hill, NC and Sarah Parks Hughes (Stacey) of Bakersville, NC..
