It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Suzanne Nelms-Riedling (Mars Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carroll Baird Farmer, Sr. and Bessie Mae Patterson Farmer; her husband Larry E. Nelms, Sr.; her former husband James Michael Riedling; her brother Carroll B. Farmer, Jr.; and her son Brian Timothy Nelms.
She is survived by: her son Larry Eugene Nelms, Jr. (Michelle Q. Nelms) of Mars Hill; her grandchildren, Kimberly Suzanne Nelms of Port St, David Nelms of Mars Hill, Gabriel Nelms of Mars Hill and Angela Nelms of Mars Hill; and her great grandchildren, Hezekiah and Aaliyah.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the West Memorial Park (40 Roberts St, Weaverville, NC 28787).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
