He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Szakacs and Piroska Koppanyi Szakacs; his son-in-law Attila Szucs; and his siblings, Aleander Szakacs and Mancika Orosz.
He is survived by: his wife Susana Szakacs; his children, Susan Szucs and Steve Szakacs, Jr. (Kathleen); his granddaughter Reka; his pet Layla; and also, John Szatmary, George Kovacs, Zita, Peter Darabont and Judy Kovacs.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mars Hill United Methodist Church (201 S Main St, Mars Hill, NC 28754).
