She was predeceased by: her parents, Bevily Freeman and Vernie Ball Freeman; and her siblings, Omega Rice, Agnes Childress, Wilma Roberts and Cleatus Freeman.
She is survived by: her husband Ed Fortner; her children, Stephanie Fortner Higgins (Bobby) and Jason Fortner; her sister Arlene Hunter (Wade); her brother-in-law David Childress; her grandchildren, Courtney Mercer (Jake) and Emily Gray (Matthew); her niece Sherri Anthony; and her daughters, Amanda Damron and Jennifer Blankenship.
