It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Walsh (Mars Hill, North Carolina), born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on August 11, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Walsh and Ada Buckner Walsh; his brother Donald E. Walsh; his mother-in-law Ruby S. Cooke; and his brothers-in-law, Claude Harris and Jerry Eury.
He is survived by: his wife Jean C. Walsh of Mars Hill; his children, Cindy W. Rice of Mars Hill and Brian M. Walsh of Arden; his grandchildren, Kristin E. Rice of Mars Hill and Justin R. Rice (Kandace) of Mars Hill; his great grandchildren, Kaden Burnette, Ansley Rice, Maddox and Adaleigh Rice; his siblings, Harold L. Walsh (Cathy) of Canton and Susan W. Eury of Lake Lure; and his siblings-in-law, George H. Cooke of Asheville and Sue Harris of Candler. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
