She was predeceased by: her parents, Grant Franklin and Ada Mace Franklin; her husband Wayne Proffitt; and her siblings, Eula Wheeler, Taylor and Ken Franklin.

She is survived by: her children, Christine Whitt (Bennie), Gary Proffitt (Wendy), Randy Proffitt (Doris) and Larry Proffitt (Debra). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
