He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Ransome Edney and Palma Carter Edney; his parents-in-law, Lib and Bill Williamson; his brother-in-law Chip Williamson; his nephew Sonny Williamson; and his niece Ruth Busby.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ellis Williamson; his children, Luke, Clint, Teagan and Merrell Greenwood Edney, Jr. (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Greenwood III and Adeline; his brother Calvin R Edney Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Lynn (Mike Busby), David (Dionne Williamson) and Melanie Williamson; and also Ellis. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
