She was predeceased by: her parents, Carter Emerson and Annis Shook Metcalf. She is survived by: her husband Joe Bailey; her children, Randy Bailey and Ruth Bailey Plemmons (Luke); her grandchildren, Cassie Plemmons (Nathan) and Ethan Plemmons; and her brother Marvin Metcalf. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at the English-Metcalf Cemetery (1143 Smith Creek Rd, Mars Hill, NC 28754).
