She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Bourgeois and Marilyn Battle Bourgeois; and her brothers, Robert and John Bourgeois. She is survived by: her husband Douglas Burns; her children, Sheila Mull (Barry), Diane Paleno (Amy Paleno), Allyson Daniels (Derek), Donald Paleno and Christopher Burns (Mandy); her brother James Bourgeois; and her grandchildren, Johnathan, Mariska, Macy, Carson, Brock and Evan.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations made to Care Partners Foundation Solace Center PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
