She was predeceased by: her parents, Affie Ballard and Lear English Ballard; her husband Oakley Fender; her daughter-in-law Vanessa Fender; and her siblings, Ava Carter, Edna Jamerson and Raleigh Ballard.

She is survived by: her son Ragan Fender; her brother Wade Ballard; her granddaughter Natalie Carter (Brent); and her great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Josiah Carter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
