He is survived by: his parent Grace Robinson Ray; his wife Rita English Ray; his sons, Phillip Lee Woody (Tammy) and Andy James Ray; his sisters, Doris Penland (Quentin Austin) and Shirley Wallin; and his grandchildren, Kadee Jo and Cade Charles Woody. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
