He was predeceased by: his parents, John Deweese and Myrtle Cox Deweese; his wives, Gladys Shufford King and Nellie Seay Deweese; and his siblings, Blanche, Jo and Jimmy Deweese.
He is survived by: his children, Wilma Hensley (Richard), Edward Deweese (Marcia) and Billy Deweese (Annette); and his siblings, Glenda Carver, Jerlene Metcalf, Bobby and Donald Deweese. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
