It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Shelton (Mars Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on October 15, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Enloe and Gladys Fender Shelton; his wife Wilma Rector Shelton; and his daughter Lolita Shelton. He is survived by: his children, Pam Doan (Victor), Joe George (Darlene) and Tim George (Betty); his siblings, Annette Ducker, Ethel Goforth (Fred), Felicia Phillips (John), Freda Roberts (Randy), Mack Shelton and Chris Shelton (Denise); his grandchildren, Keith George (Amy), Tabitha George and Alaina Davis (Buddy); and his great grandchildren, Abbey, Ava, Hunter and Emma. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
