It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don Murray (Mars Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on August 14, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Moody Murray and Orlie Clark Murray; his siblings, Ruby Glen Murray, Glenna Jean Robinson, Bernard Murray, Ernestine Rice, Doug Murray, Carl Ed Murray and Joe Lynn Murray; and his nephew Bruce Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Myrtle "Peanut"; his children, Phillip Murray (Sherry), Jason Murray and Teresa Barnett (Steve); his siblings, Edith Brown, Carol Coates and Vance Murray (Triva); his grandchildren, Shianne (Casey), Brooklynn, Hunter, Hope, Courtney, Cameron and Shawn; and his close friends, Roy Norton, Joe Ward and Hanniable Carver. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
