He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Metcalf and Sylvia Norton; and his brother Mitchell Metcalf. He is survived by: his wife Bertha Marie Metcalf; his son Olen Metcalf; and his siblings, Robena Shelton, Lenda Cutshaw (Ricky), Amy Duncan (Junie), Matt Metcalf (Charlotte), Mike Metcalf (Ella Mae) and Gene Metcalf (Janice). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
