He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Anderson Coffey and Girtha Gunter Coffey; his brother David Jerome Coffey; and his sister-in-law Cindy Coffey. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Law Coffey; his sons, Charles Coffey (Amanda) and Jeremy Coffey (Charlita); his siblings, Mary Ann Coffey, Ronnie and Freddie Coffey; his grandchildren, Colton Coffey (Katie), Chloe Coffey (Brendon Atkins), Blake and Peyton Coffey; his great grandchild Kole Coffey; and his close friends, Jake, Judy Grigg, Ed, Carolyn Robinson and Beth Thomason. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at the Gabriels Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (1320 Gabriel's Creek Church Rd, Mars Hill, NC 28754).
