He is survived by: his wife Florence Gregg Willis; his son Eric Willis (Regina); his siblings, Melba Payne and V. J. Willis (Wanda); and his grandchildren, Simone Larzelere and Boden Larzelere. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
