With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alta Mae Capps (Mars Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on December 8, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Harmon and Meda Coates Harmon; her brothers, Roy (Betty) and Nathan (Peggy); and her niece Sheila Harmon.

She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Briggs (Larry Drake) of Hendersonville; and her sister Ellen Harmon Coomer of Mars Hill. She is also survived by eight nieces & nephews, many cousins and a large extended family.
