He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Lee Hollifield and Rosa Lee Townsend Hollifield; his siblings, Edgar Lee Hollifield, Jr., Della Marie Burleson and Ronald Lee Townsend; and his friend Jonathan Self.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Diane Moody Townsend; his children, Timmy Ray Townsend (Alisha), Catina Townsend, Ira Moody and Johnny Dagampat (Kristie); his grandchildren, Tiffany Townsend (Skyler), Payton Townsend (John), Dalton Townsend, Dylan Townsend, Dustin Townsend, Jonathan Townsend, Hazel, Grace and Derek Dagampat; his great grandchildren, Nevaeh Jones, Mallory Jones and Adalynn Conner; and his siblings, Robert Hollifield (Carrie), James Hollifield (Jenny), Jerry Lowery (Lisa) and Patricia Hollifield. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
