She was predeceased by: her parents, Summy Truman Bowman and Clema Rose Smith Bowman; her husband Floyd Burnette Moody; and her sisters, Bernice Elliott, Betty Ann McNeely and Reba DeWitt.
She is survived by: her son Larry Moody (Deanna) of Madison, VA; her grandson Ryan Moody (Francesca Rowan) of Madison, VA; her siblings, Robert Bowman of Marion and Dorothy Hope Gardin of Ellenboro; her niece Cindy Hensley; her great-nephews, Bo Hensley (Taylor) and Gavin Hensley of Marion; her sister-in-law Gloria Moody of Marion; her caregiver Ashlee Hayden; and also, Kyler and Kaylee of Glenwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Marie's memory to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 1536 Jacktown Road, Marion, NC 28752.
