The passing of Margaret Cornelia Worsham Lawing of Marion, North Carolina leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 23, 2024 at the age of 100. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jefferson Worsham and Stella Mae Brooks Worsham; her former husband Boyd Stone; her stepson Larry Lawing; and also, Dexter Lawing and Jeff Stone.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Burleson (Kenneth) of Nebo and Tommy Stone (Jaime) of Marion; and her stepchildren, Jerry Lawing, Gary Lawing and Dixie Helms. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bethel Free Will Baptist Church (1690 Old Hwy 10 E, Marion, NC 28752). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at the Bethel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery (2170 Old Hwy 10 E, Nebo, NC 28761).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Samaritans Purse or Bethel FWB Church fund.
