He is survived by: his wife Robin Davis McElreath; his children, Lisa McElreath-Winkenwerder, Jimbo McElreath, Dawn McPeters Evans and Brock McPeters; and his grandchildren, Saige Ledford Crowder, Ridge McPeters, Haven Medford, Montana McPeters and Chase Winkenwerder.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Beam Funeral Service & Crematory (2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at the McDowell Memorial Park (327 Memorial Park Rd, Marion, NC 28752).
