He is survived by: his wife Denise Gibson; his children, Tonya Lindsay, Sonya Lail, James "Bumper" Gibson, Jr., Crystal Richardson and Kimberly Elmore; his stepchildren, Brandon Ray Lowery and Chris Lowery; his sisters, Doris Rhom (Wayne), Elizabeth Harris (Freddie), Lois Mace (Tim) and Barbara Shelton; and his brother-in-law Keith Rumfelt. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; a great grandson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
