He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Ann Walker and Alvin Hubert Stapleton; his wife Sandra Stapleton; his daughters, Angela Stapleton and Anita Vardiman; his grandsons, Frederick Badgero, III and Jordan Stapleton; and his great grandchild Kayden Shelton.
He is survived by: his siblings, Theresa Stapleton-Briggs, Michael Stapleton (Cathy), Billy Patton (Karen) and Alvin Stapleton (Geneva); and his children, Tina Stapleton (Russell), Misty Stapleton, Kim Stapleton (Travis), Jamie Manning (Michael), Josh Stapleton, Melissa Badgero and Frederick Badgero.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (962 Old US Hwy 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
