She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Michael Hackworth, Greg Hackworth (Shelley Moreland) and Steven Hackworth; her sister Pat Elliott (Doug); her sister-in-law Mary Smith; her brother Gene Smith; and her grandchildren, Johnathon and Heather Hackworth.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
