He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmel Lee McMahan and Katherine Hughes McMahan; his daughter Kimberly McMahan; and his sisters, Pauline Gibson and Elveta Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kay Fisher McMahan; his children, Angela Harris (Scott) of Marion and Jeffrey McMahan (Nicole) of Marion; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Roy, Amara, Dylan, Matt, Heather and Ashley; his siblings, Larry McMahan of Buncombe County, Johnny McMahan (Hazel) of Buncombe County and Linda Hart (Jerry) of Buncombe County; and his brother-in-law Cecil Gibson of Swannanoa. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
