She was predeceased by: her parents, Bully Maddox and Vera Clyde Pope Maddox; and her husband George Thomas Welch Sr.. She is survived by: her children, George "Tommy" Welch Jr. and Carol Welch Wilson (Bob); her sisters, Margaret Craft and Flay Houston; her grandchildren, Kevin Wilson (Jodie) and Karen W. Pruett; and her great grandchildren, Carmen, Eva, Cagney, Cullen, Zoe and Mia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
