He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Hicks and Eula Mae Ledford Hicks; his son Michael Ledford Hicks; and his brothers, Jerald Hicks and Phillip Hicks.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hollifield Hicks; his children, Tina Matthews (Tony) of Marion, Steve Hicks (Summer) of Marion, Danielle Hicks of Greenwood, SC, Kristen Hicks (Charlie Johnson) of Marion and Drew Hicks (Ashton); his grandchildren, Jada Hicks (Austin Moore), Kaidon Mason, Makaila Hicks, Kandra Mason, Cassandra Hicks, Dylan Hicks and Keith Harris (Stephany); his great grandchildren, Peyton Harris and Mila Hicks; and his siblings, Bobby Hicks of Marion and Mildred Whiteside of Marion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
