With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joben Clifford Donaldson of Marble, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 25, 2024 at the age of 88. Though Joben Clifford may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joben Clifford touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Donaldson and Ezra Cole Donaldson; his wife Verdie Newton Patterson; and his son Marvin Joe Patterson. He is survived by: his sister Ruth Newton; and his granddaughters, Christi of Murphy, NC, Misti Killian of Murphy, NC and Kandi Casa of Murphy, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
