She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Nelson and Carrie Belle Nelson; and her husband John Edwin Eller. She is survived by: her children, Sally Winfrey (Robert) of Charlotte, Edwina Messer (Eugene) of Marble and Thurman V. Eller (Brenda) of Cleveland, Georgia; and her siblings, Penny McClure of Murphy, Abigail Hammond (Keith) of Royston, Georgia, R. L. Nelson (Iola) of Hayesville, Roald Nelson (Ruth) of Hayesville and Owen Nelson of Royston, Georgia. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Ivie Funeral Home (194 Peachtree St, Murphy, NC 28906). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
