He was predeceased by: his parents, Lola Lee Smith and Fred Edward Welch. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Welch; his brother Bobby Welch (Karen); his adoptive son Mike Welch (Missy); his daughters, Mckendra Bryson, Serena Peterson (Chris) and Desiree Graves (Devan); his grandchildren, Kodi Hays, Alisa Holt (Zack), Destiny Milsaps (Jeffery) and Axl Graves; and his great grandchildren, Clyde, Kylie Holt, Rylee and Kaden Millsaps.
