She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Earwood and Lou Ellen Earwood; her husband Rev. Forrest Gibby; and her brothers, Dale and Don Earwood.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda McGaha of Marble, Charles Gibby (Amelia) of Marion and Gerald Gibby (Jean) of Wake Forest; her grandson Brandon Gibby (Stephanie) of Old Fort, NC; her great grandchildren, Jared Jenkins and Reed Gibby; her daughters, Callie Taylor, Jocelyn, Kadyn and Sophia; her grandson Oliver; her daughter Athena; her siblings, Ron Earwood (Nancy) of Morganton and Lois Adams; and her nephew David.
