She was predeceased by: her parents, Wyatt Ransom and Bessie Florence McLamb Johnson; her husband Roy Randall Byrd; her son Roy "Randy" Byrd, Jr.; her son-in-law Cecil Etheridge; and her siblings, Charles Johnson, Sarah Johnson, James Johnson, Mary Lou Byrd, Sherrill Johnson, Annie Ruth Blackmon, Billy Ray Johnson, Eugene Johnson and Roy Preston Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gale B. Etheridge of Apex and Jean B. Wall (Billy) of Wilmington; her daughter-in-law Janice Byrd of Erwin; her grandchildren, Adam Byrd (Leigh) of Coats and Amy Hurlocker (Zach) of Concord; her great grandchildren, Brantley, Lilyanne Grace, Deacon, Shelby Grace and Sadie Hope; her goddaughter Melinda Mathis (Judson); her daughters, Diana and Hannah Grace of Valdosta, GA; her sister Marie West of Benson; and her siblings-in-law, Lou Ann Johnson of Four Oaks, Judy Johnson of Four Oaks, Mary Johnson of Four Oaks and Hilton Byrd (Betty) of Four Oaks.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Four Oaks United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 177, Four Oaks, NC 27524.Everyone is invited back to the church after the service for a reception.
