It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dawn Godfrey Clayton in Maple, North Carolina, who passed away on April 26, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Godfrey and Marian Godfrey; and her husband Larry Dale Clayton. She is survived by: her pet Chloe; her nieces, Katherine Stanley of Greensboro and Kimberly Andrews (Tommy) of Randleman; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Olivia Hall of Greensboro, Tate Andrews of Randleman, Luke Andrews of Randleman and Shelby Andrews of Randleman; and her sister-in-law Cindy Vestal of Greensboro.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the George Brothers Funeral Service (803 Greenhaven Dr, Greensboro, NC 27406).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of the Piedmont, 4527 West Wendover Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27409.
