He was predeceased by: his parents, William Robert and Virginia Powers Marshburn. He is survived by: his wife Roxanne Walsh Marshburn; his cousin Elizabeth James Dunn (Thaddeus Dunn); his siblings-in-law, Beth Ann Takacs (Michael) and Edward "Ned" Walsh (Janet); and his niece Amy Stock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
