He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mozingo and Effie Mozingo; and his brothers, Hubert Mozingo, James Jenkins and Marilene Padgett Mozingo.
He is survived by: his children, Wendy Ottaway (Barry) of Holly Ridge, Melody Locklear (Billy) of Jacksonville, Michelle Capps (Darrell) of Maple Hill and Allen Mozingo (Marea) of Maple Hill; his sisters, Faye Hilliary of Arkansas and Sadie Muse of Kinston; his grandchildren, Tracey Sink, Samuel Ottaway, Rebekah Ottaway, Holly Redlinger, Heidie Locklear, Conner Quinn, Carson and Bryson Capps; his great grandchildren, Lane, Katelyn, Kelsey, Alicia and Jacoband Hannah; and his great great grandchildren, Hazel and Miles.
